I am an Interactive Metronome provider based in Campbell, CA and would like to attend the next speakers meeting to demonstrate IM for all those in attendance. I can also provide individual attendees a free timing assessment which accurately indicates if IM training may help improve focus, timing and concentration.

Click on the Discover Magazine article which explains why TIMING IS EVERYTHING:

Hello, I would like to meet you. Last week I left a message, which hasn't yet been returned. I found your name in Delivered from Distraction and am relieved and grateful to think that there is a helpful and informative group so near to me (Redwood City).

I'll call again. Maybe this time I'll get through. Meanwhile, it feels good to know you are there.

I have called the center and left my phone number, but I haven't gotten a call back. I am trying to find out if you have a copy of Amen's DVD "What Brain Do You Want?" If you do, how could I check it out?

Hi,
I was unaware of Kitty's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Kitty many years ago when she was trying to find help for her son and grandson--was it in the late 80's or early 90's, I can't remember. She said she was going to start a support group--and she sure did!

Hi Markey,

Thank you very much for your condolences.

Yes, she sure did, for when Kitty's grandson was diagnosed with ADHD and Learning Differences, she started studying these neurobiological syndromes and founded CHADD of Mid-Peninsula (now Silicon Valley CHADD) from her home in Palo Alto, in March 1992. Within two years she opened an office in Mountain View for what had become the largest CHADD chapter in the nation (out of 650 chapters,) and the only one maintaining an office outside of her home.

In 1995 Kitty founded Kitty Petty ADD/LD Institute (KPI), a 501(c)(3) public non-profit corporation, to provide additional services and programs which were needed, but not available to 400,000 Californians dealing with ADD/LD. under-served, economically disadvantaged, at-risk, and unable to afford proper treatment.

She has helped so many people and will continue to be missed, for there is not a day go by that I don't think of her. Love to you always Mom...

Clint,
My name is Norman and I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I met Kitty in 1995 or 1996 and I had been to her apartment, in Palo Alto, working with her on hand-outs, at her dining room table.
I was first introduced to Dan Amen by Kitty when she asked him to speak at the office building just around the corner from her apartment.
I liked her very much and I regret not learning of her passing sooner. I had even talked to Dan since her passing and he said nothing to me about it.
I shall miss her energy and her friendly persona. To me, she was larger than life. I am grateful for Kitty and what she brought to my life.

Hi Norman,
It is nice to hear kind words of my mother and glad to hear she brought something special to your life. She was quite a remarkable lady and she is missed deeply.
Yes, she did have energy and a very friendly persona. She volunteered her time, from when she got up in the morning, until late at night, everyday toward helping people with ADD/LD. She was totally committed to her cause and enjoyed the time she put in toward helping others.
A KPI newsletter, dedicated to her memory, went out shortly after her passing.
Thanks again for your kind words.
Clint

Hi Raymond,
I am Kitty's son Clint. Thanks for your condolances. I'm not sure what Kitty was going to with helping you get info with the Petty name. I know she has a book on the history of the Petty name going back some 100 years or so.
Perhaps that was it? Anyways, I have it and you are welcome to read it if you like.
